Pitch · Global money · borderless payroll
Wages denominated in what a month costs, so inflation stops being something that happens to you.
01The problem
A salary is a promise in a currency, and the currency does not know what you buy. Rice goes up, the local money slips, and the number on the payslip stays the same while the month it used to cover gets shorter. For a worker paid in a currency that keeps slipping, every raise is a lie told in advance.
02The product
Say what your month is made of: rice, rent, fuel, school, everything else. Pay goes in as basket unitsat that day's prices. When rice gets dearer your rice slice grows and your pay grows with it. You buy the same rice. The screen is the basket itself, five illustrated slices breathing as prices move, with one line above it: your rice did not get more expensive this month.
Employers pay in USDC. The basket holds it, the posted prices set the value of a unit, and the reserve, hedged through Arc's stablecoin exchange, pays rising baskets out.
03Why this is only possible on Arc
Keeping a wage level against five prices means adjusting it a little, all the time. That only works on a three hundred dollar salary if every adjustment costs a fraction of a cent and lands at once. Arc has stablecoin exchange built in and fees that round to nothing.
04Who pays, and how it earns
- Spread. A quarter percent on every redemption. Already in the contract.
- Payroll. Employers pay a per-seat fee to run payroll in baskets.
- Hedge margin. The reserve is hedged in stablecoin FX; the platform earns the carry between posted prices and the hedge.
05The market
Hundreds of millions of workers are paid in currencies that lose double digits a year. Remittances alone exceed eight hundred billion dollars annually. A basket wage is the first product that lets an employer abroad or a platform pay a worker in what the worker actually needs.
06What is live today
The basket you see is an example on a three hundred dollar month, labelled so. Against a deployed contract, shares are set and pay is received on chain; prices come from the posted oracle.
07Roadmap

08The ask
A developer grant of USD 70,000 over six months funds price feeds, the payroll flow and the FX hedge, with milestones at the first hundred workers paid. Draft figure.
